Saturday 2 July 2011 was a memorable day in Pukekohe Rugby history as we claimed the Counties Power Championship and the McNamara Cup by thrashing neighbours Patumahoe 35 - 11, one the highest scoring Premiers finals in the history of Counties rugby. As outlined in the match report, it was an outstanding team effort and was just reward for the players and team management especially the coaching staff of Rhys Cullinane, Kerry Newson, Mark Brooke-Cowden and Joeli Vidiri.

Players with Steelers contracts for the upcoming ITM Cup competition are Jamie Chipman (Captain), Taiasina Tuifua and Mark Price. Congratulations to those fine players. Some of the team could consider themselves unlucky, particularly halfback Kevin Farrell and No 8 Manoa Lesavua. However the Counties Manukau B side should be strong with nine players making the squad. They are Michael Porter, Falakiko Banahome, William Crisp, Manoa Lesavua, Brendon Farrell, Kevin Farrell, Sione Fifita, Peni Buakula and Armyn Sanders.
